The following hotels have blocks of rooms at a negotiated rate. We anticipate that transportation on school buses will also be provided back and forth from these locations to the Mercersburg Academy campus each day of the competition.
This list is provided for informational purposes only. Mercersburg Academy does not endorse any particular property.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is 90 minutes away and is served by all major domestic carriers and many international carriers. (Visitors arriving from abroad usually find Dulles the most convenient airport.) Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) is also a 90-minute drive from campus and is serviced by all major domestic carriers. We do not recommend flying into Washington National Airport (DCA) and will not provide transportation from this airport to our campus.
We will provide transportation to the hotels where we have blocks of rooms reserved on Friday, April 25, and return to the airports in designated windows after the competition is completed. We will ask teams to indicate the desire to use this transportation when registering so we can plan accordingly.
The Mercersburg Academy campus has plenty of free parking, including two large parking lots near the Hale Field House.
Lunch options will be provided to all of the registered participants on competition days. Cooking equipment is not allowed inside the venue.
Only those participants and adults who have registered through the registration system are eligible for transportation and lunch onsite. This is part of what the registration fee covers. If you are attending the competition as a spectator, you will need to provide your own transportation and lunches during the time of the competition. Alternatively, you can still register to be eligible for the transportation and lunch benefits.
No food and drink other than water is allowed inside the main venue. Snacks and other beverages can be consumed in the lobby or outside on the campus grounds. Lunch will be provided in the school’s dining facility.
A charging station will be available for every two team tables. It is recommended that all team members bring fully charged laptops and batteries to the competition every day.
The use of alcohol and other drugs is strictly prohibited by all participants, mentors, chaperones, and spectators. Mercersburg Academy is a tobacco-free campus, and smoking, vaping, or use of other tobacco products is not allowed.
